Children's Valentine Craft

First, a BIG shout out to Tami Spencer and Fashioned in Faith Studio & Coffee Bar of Leesville, South Carolina.  On the outside, it looks like an amazing coffee shop, but on the inside it is a warm, inviting shop where you can drink coffee, visit with friends, and CREATE!  THE BIGGEST greatness of Fashioned in Faith Studio & Coffee Bar is the art classes and events.  From scrapbooking events and classes to art journaling, to painting, Tami is amazingly talented.  If you want directions or an address email me at dspaperstudio@aol.com.  (The Scrap Cafe' Facebook Group.)

FYI: this is not a sponsored post, it is an awesome place!

A couple of weeks ago my grands got to participate in Tami's first children's craft workshop.  What fun we had.  This project was created and taught by Tami.

Valentine's Wreath
Notables
Green floral foam ring
Paper Bag
Picks of fabric flowers
Hearts...they are foam with tiny beads on top...sure it must be from floral section
Foam, glittered hearts
Straws
Elmer's School Glue...lots (LOL)
Foam paint brushes

Little tore her bag into strips and painted the back of the bag strip with glue, wrapped it around the foam ring then went back and glue painted the top of the bag strip.  She kept going until the whole ring was covered.  Fun, messy, easy to clean.

Eat Valentine's candy, giving the glue a little time to set.

Little's Sister (LS) took apart the flower stem and glue on the flowers then the hearts.

While the flowers and hearts are setting up, LS glued two hearts to the straw to make a Cupid's arrow.  Lastly, she glued the arrow on her wreath.

EASY...FUN...MESSY!  It's doesn't get any better with kids.

Little, proud of her wreath and can't wait to give it to Mommy.

LS is excited about Mommy and Daddy both receiving her wreath.

One thing I wanted to do with the wreath was to pull out my Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink and hit up those lines and creases.  LOL  Me and my obsessions.

I hope your Valentine's Day is over the top fantastic.

More December Daily and Cool Techniques continue later this week.  I'm almost finished with my books.  I am so excited.

FYI:  There will be a giveaway at the end of my December Daily posts and all previous comments on the DD posts will count towards the drawing.  Yea!
